On Sat Feb 23rd, Dick's Sporting Goods in Bailey's is offering FCYLC families 20% of everything in the store, not just lacrosse gear. To participate, please print and bring the Dick's Flyer with you on Sat 2/23.

If you cannot make it 2/23, you can use the generic lacrosse coupon (Falls Church DSG 19), although it cannot be combined with the 20% offer.

2019 Spring Registration Now Open

FCYLC has opened up registration for the spring 2019 season. To register, go to www.fclaxclub.com and select Register! on the left hand menu.

Welcome to the registration page for the 2019 Spring Season.

Please read the following important information then follow the instructions to register.

1. Who can participate in Falls Church Youth Lacrosse Club?

The boundaries of FCYLC include all addresses that align with the following public high schools:

  • George Mason HS, Falls Church HS, JEB Stuart HS
  • Marshall MS, McLean HS
  • Yorktown HS, Washington & Lee HS

NVYLL will grant waivers in certain cases, please contact FCYLC if you are interested in a waiver.

2. What are the ages/grades of the players? 

For boys, players must be under 15 as of 8/31/2015. Girls must be in grades K thru 8. FCYLC also runs a U7 co-ed clinic for kids who are ages 4-6 and not ready to play competitive lacrosse. Players who are on a  varsity high school team are ineligible to play in the NVYLL.  8th graders who play JV lacrosse for their high school are allowed to participate in the NVYLL.

3. How are the teams determined? 

Teams are based on age for boys and grade for girls. When we have enough players to form multiple teams, we will hold preseason tryouts and place teams in the A, Upper B, or Lower B divisions.

4. When does the season start and finish? 

Practice and tryouts will start in early January for A level teams and mid February for the remaining B level teams, initially on the weekends. We have a limited amount of indoor space on weekdays as well. Starting in March, teams will practice twice a week and play a game/scrimmage on the weekend. Typically, boys play games on Saturday and girls play on Sunday afternoon. The first league games starts ;ate March. We will not have games Easter weekend and Memorial Day Weekend. Playoffs are early June for older age groups. 

5. Rental Equipment 

As noted in the registration form, the club has a limited amount of equipment to rent ($50 boys, $25 girls). We provide rentals to those families who are trying the sport for the first time and not yet committed to the sport to buy the equipment, or who are not able to purchase it. We ask that all other families purchase equipment for your child. Rentals are on a first come, first serve basis.  You are responsible for the timely return of rental equipment. FCYLC reserves the right to charge ($200 for boys and $100 for girls) your account if equipment is damaged or not returned at the end of the season.

6. What are the costs?

Just $205 for the first child; $25 discount for other children. $35 for game shorts/skorts..  Boys 8U and Girls K2 fees are $150. (shorts optional for girls). Boys 6U is $100.The U7 co-ed clinic is $100 plus $25 to rent equipment.  After 1/31/16, fees increase by $25. $35 for game shorts/skorts. Steps to Register:

  1. Scroll down below and select the team for your child. Click on the header title for that team to begin registration, then click on Continue
  2. You will then be prompted to enter your email address and password. If you do not remember your password, or do not have one, simply enter your email address and follow the instructions and one will be sent to you.
  3. Click register next to your child's name. Any information that you provided in previous registrations will already be included. Check to make sure that all fields are filled in.
